CURRENT MOON

News

Status update April 2, 2011

Only one show this month, April 23rd, at Wild Tymes downtown St. Paul with Calamity and the Owl, Courtney Yasmineh, and the Psychedelic Friends Network.

I’m really excited to announce that I start my new record this Monday with the very talented Monty Lee Wilkes piloting the spaceship.  I will be recording 12 to 15 new songs with a release date sometime in May or early June.  I will be using The Velvet Troubadours as well as many other friends.

I really hope to see you all at the show.  I’m really looking forward to it as it’s a very strong lineup.

As always, thank you for all your continued support.

James

New Demo Track & Next Show on December 4

I'll be playing at the Driftwood in Minneapolis on December 4 (details at http://jamesloneymusic.com/gigs.html), along with my great band:  guitarist Terry Isachsen (from The Snaps, Curtiss A and Stephanie Says); drummer Kirk Hall (from The Snaps and The Blue Mollies), lead guitarist Robert Wilkinson (from Flamin' Oh's and The Snaps) and of course, Paul McFarland, my right hand man on bass guitar.  Max Dakota may also set in on a few songs on the 4th.

And by the way, you can listen to and download a new demo (Time is a Thief) that Max, Paul and I worked on - it's the last song listed on the music player on my website at http://jamesloneymusic.com/sights-a-sounds/music-player.html.

Hope to see you all soon!

Hiatus from Live Performing; The Driftwood on December 4; Streaming Tracks

Hey, just wanted to let you all know that though I'm on hiatus from live performing, I'm very busy in the studio working on new material.  I also posted a few more tracks (Looking Into You and Ramblin' Jack Elliott) from my EP (Who's the Lucky One?) on the streaming music player here on my website.

I hope you'll stop by The Driftwood in South Minneapolis on Saturday night, December 4th - I'll be playing a set with Paul McFarland and Robert Wilkinson.

As always, I appreciate your continued support!

Before Now Becomes Then (The Game) - Demo

I posted another new cut ("Before Now Becomes Then (The Game)") from myself and Paul McFarland on the streaming audio player on my website (left hand column of the page).  Please enjoy and thank you for all of your continued support.  More to come - stop by and see me on the March 20 at Lee's Liquor Lounge and March 27 at the Driftwood (see Gigs section for detail).

Streaming Tracks

I've been writing and recording several new songs at my right hand man Paul McFarland's house. Sorry for the delay in getting new stuff up, but I will DEFINITELY post some of the new demos within the coming weeks. In the meantime, I uploaded dry takes of some of the songs I've written in the last 18 months - you can check them out on the streaming mp3 player on the left hand side of my website.  And again, thank you for your support.

James
